How to erase marks from fold lines when copying a books and catalogs
Guide on how to erase marks from fold lines when copying a book and catalogs.
When copy a books and catalog, it will have a fold line or the shadow created in the center. In order to remove a fold line or the shadow line, kindly follow below guideline on how to remove the fold lines or shadow line when copying a books or a catalog.
As example below, is the books that been copy before remove the fold, it will have the staple shadow in the middle, in order to remove the staple shadow, kindly follow below guideline.
For the Older Machine series / Non I-Series Machine
STEP 1 - Place the original on the Original Glass.
STEP 2 - On the Photostat Machine, press on [Menu] button, select [Copy].
STEP 3 - Untick the [Auto] and select the output size that preferred to print out, in this example, we will use A4 as the output, select the Tray that put A4 paper, select [Application].
- In order to copy Books two-page spreads such as books and catalogs that is in A3 and output is in A4, kindly select [A3>A4] under [Zoom]. Otherwise, kindly select [x1.0] under [Zoom] for input original and output is A4.
STEP 4 - Select [Book Original] under Section B, set it to [ON], Set it to use [Book Spread], then Click on [Center Ease].
Note: Remember to remain the Platen Cover open as pic below, do not close the platen cover while copying or else the warning message [The Non-Image Area Erase function cannot be carried out. Open the Original Cover and place the original on the glass] when try to enabled the [Book Spread] function.
STEP 5 - Specify the fold width to erase at 10.0mm, click [OK] to save the setting.
STEP 6 - Select [OK] and exit from the application.
STEP 7 - Leave the platen cover open while copying. The output will be similar as below which the staple shadow will be removed in the middle.
For the Newer Machine series / I-Series Machine
STEP 1 - Place the original on the Original Glass.
STEP 2 - On the Photostat Machine, press on [Home] icon, select [Copy].
STEP 3 - Untick the [Auto] and select the output size that preferred to print out, in this example, we will use A4 as the output, select the Tray that put A4 paper, select [Application].
- In order to copy Books two-page spreads such as books and catalogs that is in A3 and output is in A4, kindly select [A3>A4] under [Zoom]. Otherwise, kindly select [x1.0] under [Zoom] for input original and output is A4.
