How to Setup Scan to User Box

Guide on how to setup scan to User Box from the Konica Minolta machine.


Requirements:

  1. Konica Minolta machine needs to have a Hard Disk Installed.
  2. SMB Sharing needs to be ON in order to share the User Box folder.
  3. User Box can be access via the Web Browser or create the shortcut from Desktop.

STEP 1: Access the machine Web Connection. Click this link to check on how to access the machine Web Connection.

STEP 2: Login as Administrator, and go to [Network] > [SMB Setting] > [SMB Server Settings].

 

STEP 3: Turn ON the [SMB Server Settings] and [Share SMB File], Click OK to save the setting.

 

STEP 4: Next go to [Box] > [User Box List] > [New Registration].

 

STEP 5: Key in info accordingly the info below and select OK to create a User Box on Konica Minolta Machine.

  • User Box Name: PC A
  • Assign User Box Password: By default no need put in, if want to put in need to tick Assign User Box Password, and assign password in it.
  • Index: First Character of User Box Name, in this case is "PQRS"
  • Auto Delete Document On User Box: Choose either Do Not Delete / Specify File day or Specific Time for between 5-72 Min
  • User Box Expansion Function: Click Display to show the setting.
  • Auto Save Document to MFP Shared Folder: On           

 

STEP 6: Next go to [Store Address] > [New Registration]. Select User Box on the Search from Function and key-in the following details below. After creating the Store Address and link it to the User Box folder, click OK to save the setting and logout from Admin Mode.

  • Name: PC A (Name that shown on machine later when scan)
  • Index: First character that on the Name above, in this case will be PQRS.
  • Main: Tick (in order to show on Favorites tab)
  • User Box No: Click Search from List - Select User box that Created earlier which is PC A. It will show under Registered Box Number.
