Issue: The counter for the user authentication has reached its maximum allowance.

Guide on how to clear the error counter for user authentication has reached its maximum allowance.


Error Message As Below when the counter for user authentication has reached maximum allowance and it will restrict user from Copy, Printing.

For The Older Machine Series / Non I-Series Machine

STEP 1 - In order to resolved the issue, kindly follow below step. On the Konica Minolta machine, click on [Menu] button, Select [Utility] from Control Panel.

STEP 2 - Select [Administrator Settings], and key in the Administrator password accordingly.

STEP 3 - Go to [User Authentication/Account Track].

STEP 4 - Select [User Authentication Settings].

STEP 5 - Select [User Counter].

STEP 6 - Select the User Authentication Name below. In order to clear the max allowance counter, there have 2 type of method - reset max allowance for certain user only or all the user. Kindly refer guideline below.

STEP 6a) If want to clear max allowance for certain user only, select on the [Counter Details] - [Clear Counter] - Select [Yes] - Press [OK].

STEP 6a) Once the message disappears, select [Close] until the main screen.

After reset

 

STEP 6b) If want to clear max allowance for all user account, select on the [Reset All Counters] - Select [Yes] - Press [OK]. Do not turn the main power OFF while resetting the counter.

STEP 6b) - Once the message disappears, select [Close] until the main screen.

Back to Main Screen

Note: Once the counter is cleared - users will be able to Print/Copy as usual.

 

For The Newer Machine Series / I-Series Machine

STEP 1 - In order to resolved the issue, kindly follow below step. On the Konica Minolta machine, click on [Home] icon, Select [Utility] from Control Panel.

STEP 2 - Select [Administrator], and key in the Administrator password accordingly.

STEP 3 - Go to [User Auth/Account Track].

STEP 4 - Select [User Authentication Setting].

STEP 5 - Select [User Counter].

STEP 6 - Select the User Name below. In order to clear the max allowance counter, there have 2 type of method - reset max allowance for certain user only or all the user. Kindly refer guideline below.

STEP 6a) If want to clear max allowance for certain user only, select on the selected username, then click on [Details] - [Counter Clear] - Press [OK] when prompt.

STEP 6b) If want to clear max allowance for all user account, select on the [Reset All Counters] - Press [OK]. Do not turn the main power OFF while resetting the counter.

STEP 6b) - Once the message disappears, select [Home] icon until the main screen.

Back to Main Screen

Note: Once the counter is cleared - users will be able to Print/Copy as usual.
